I guess changing to just trigger on python or yml changes covers all the code changes
paths:
- '**.py'
- '**.yml'
from paramak.
Might it be worth including setup.cfg
and pyproject.toml
? I'm also wondering if it would be worth rerunning tests when any bash scripts are updated (i.e. changing run_tests.sh could cause CI to break). Would it also be helpful to rerun tests when any of the examples notebooks change?
If we added all of this, it wouldn't result in fewer lines of code, but I think it would still be an improvement over the paths-ignore method.

Yep I think you are right there. Shall we add
- *.ipynb
- *.sh
- *.cfg
- *.toml
We might not actually save any lines at this point but perhaps it is still better
