Pipe data to CreateContainer unsupported? about go-dockerclient

docker run is not CreateContainer. It's CreateContainer + StartContainer + AttachContainer (when you attach to it).

You will need to call these three methods. Here is the docker source: https://github.com/dotcloud/docker/blob/master/api/client/commands.go#L2029

And here is a "pseudocode":

container, err := dockerClient.CreateContainer(...)
// ...
err = dockerClient.StartContainer(container.ID, ...)
// ...
file, err := os.Open("somefile")

var outputBuffer bytes.Buffer
opts := dockerClient.AttachToContainerOptions{
    Container:    container.ID,
    InputStream:  file,
    OutputStream: &outputBuffer,
