can confirm, Images do not work in 7.6
reverting d2bf6b2 seems to resolve it

I can confirm this.
Same problem. TYPO3 is version 7.6.30.

Can confirm this, i commented also in #41
@bmack v3.2.3 with this bugfix breaks the image rendering in TYPO3 7.6.
dev-master with this bugfix doesn't work with TYPO3 8.7. This Bug was already fixed in dev-master before commit 269080c.
I think its better to release the v4.0.0 for >= TYPO3 8.7 only.
