The "algorithm" of detecting mobile device is pretty naive. This message is displayed when your browser window is narrower than 1000px. Most of my students that complained about this warning had the website opened on half-screen. Try resizing the window and see if it helps.
This "feature" defeinitely needs reconsideration, though.
