I think this would be feasible using Django's signals (especially post_save).

My concern is — if you create the API key programmatically, how would you communicate the secret key to the user? This is an honest question because maybe there are some missing helpers to support to use case.

Also — be careful that this package was designed for service-to-service API keys. It wasn't meant to provide API keys to actual physical users (but again, the scope might be extended if we can clarify and document this need). :-)

Actualy, I'm looking for an package to feed user API key to consume the API.

Yes, I see. I think this is also requested in #16 in different terms. If you're up for it, you can open a feature request to describe how you'd like this feature to work. :-) Formalising the need would help a lot.
