There are some nice mokups for a Flathub developer dashboard in the flathub-mockups repo. They are principally focused in designing a service where developers could publish apps uploading their build.json files (and letting the build bot build them). On last March's GTKHackfest there was a proposal of implementing all this as a v1.0 using Github + buildbot, which is the system that we have right now.

About the website to browse apps, I'm working in my spare time a proof of concept of that. You can actually test it here and the source code is in this repo.

About this demo app:

  • I've presented it in the flathub meetings and there is some interest on it, but right now is just a personal proof of concept.
  • There is still a lot of work to do to improve it (see the TODO list in the repo). I'll try to have a more finished version for GUADEC (I'll be there)

If anybody wants to give me a hand on this or test it (better when GUADEC's version is finished) I will be happy. The webapp frontend is made with Angular 4 and the backend is made with Spring Boot.

It is missing most of them. Ideally the web app would be dynamically generated from the appdata in the repo including things like descriptions, screenshots, ratings, etc.

doesn't http://flatpak.org/apps.html do that already? or is it missing some apps?

I'd love to help with that. Is there some discussion going on about this topic, that I could join? I'm on the Flatpak mailing list, but didn't see mentions of it there.

Hmm, I believe somebody had some mockups and you could maybe start a convo in #flatpak on freenode.

@jgarciao
That is a really nice proof of concept. As a user I'm looking forward to a flathub store :-).

With https://flathub.org/apps.html now online, I believe this is now solved!

Sorry for adding a comment on a closed issue. Same problem as before: I can't get to browse the apps, I get redirected from https://flathub.org/apps.html to https://flathub.org.
