Actually, I think it makes sense to not have any sort of countdown to the next sync check. The endpoints already say the last time they were updated, so it should just sync them once it's been at least 24 hours. There's no need to say anything about how often it's checking to see when it needs to sync.
To do this, I'll make the it check for syncs once a minute instead of once an hour. This way if you're running PGP Sync and an endpoint passes 24 hours since last updated, within 1 minute it will sync again. And if an endpoint was last updated 20 hours ago and then you suspend your laptop and wake it up 8 hours later, within 1 minute of waking up it will see that it's been 28 hours since the last update and sync it.
