Accept &Stream instead of &HardwareSerial for serial devices about arduinaap

Good to know. I use Print right now for the debug logging, which SoftSerial annoyingly didn't extend last I looked. Does Stream support available() ?

Yep! I'm using NewSoftSerial, which does not yet support Stream but does support Print. Mikal created a new repository for NewSoftSerial yesterday, but hasn't uploaded the code for it, yet. Slacker. :-)

I set up
SoftwareSerial monitor(2,3)
so I can get logging information on pins 2 and 3 over a TTL level converter then a Serial to USB adapter.

Really wish I could put the iPod on SoftwareSerial instead so that i can use the Arduino built-in serial to monitor things. Any idea how that can be done? I've tried setting up
SoftwareSerial iPodOnSoftwareSerial(2, 3);
but it won't compile.
