Sure, just run this command to output the filename every time a file is updated, added or deleted in the folder named "fixtures" or it's subdirectories:

  $ filewatcher "fixtures" 'echo $FILENAME was updated'

If you want to do something more specific, like only executing a command when files are added, you could look at the examples in the readme file and write a small ruby script.

If you update your filewatcher gem you can now also watch multiple folders and detect filesystem event from the command line:

    $ filewatcher "src lib" 'echo $FILENAME was $FSEVENT'
