special characters in strings are not escaped about jsonlab

My apologies. The issue I was having was actually caused by how I was saving the output of savejson to a file.

using fprintf(fid, savejson(loadjson('{"text": "First Line\nSecond Line"}'))) resulted a text file that appears like this:

{
   "text": "First Line
Second Line"
}

I was able to avoid this behavior using this suggestion: https://www.mathworks.com/matlabcentral/answers/420942-how-can-i-write-an-unformated-string-to-file-i-e-without-interpreting-and-any-other-special-ch

fprintf(fid, "%s", savejson(loadjson('{"text": "First Line\nSecond Line"}'))) works without issue.

can't reproduce this. jsonlab's savejson does correctly escape newline character

>> loadjson('{"text": "First Line\nSecond Line"}')

ans = 

  struct with fields:

    text: 'First Line↵Second Line'

>> savejson(loadjson('{"text": "First Line\nSecond Line"}'))

ans =

    '{
     	"text":"First Line\nSecond Line"
     }
     '

@nickanthony-dgl, you can directly save the file using savejson(..., 'filename', fname); internally, it has been using binary IO fwrite() to avoid double escaping issue like this.
