With custom selectors, most of the above could be implemented by the user if they desire them, they would be preceded by :-- though. I feel this would be sufficient for all these cases.
As far as something like :eq() concerned, it is not practical for us to implement such a feature to retain our efficiency. The original statement and opinion on this has not changed.
So as far as I am concerned, the selectors that were possibilities can be implemented simply by using custom selectors, and we already have an issue open to handle that: #92.
