I think the reason for this is that it is no different from packaging and deploying an app for iOS and Android without React Native, and plenty of guides for those exist elsewhere. It would be a large and unnecessary burden for people who work on React Native docs to have to re-write this exact same documentation again and keep it up to date. Maybe we can have a section that points to some decent guides on how to do this for other platforms, along with any specific tips relevant to React Native? (eg: you can use CodePush or Expo for OTA updates)

I also spent a lot of time researching on how to do this. I got stuck following the docs for "Generating Signed APK" particularly when running ./gradlew assembleRelease
because I had not "ejected from CNRA" and didn't know I had to do that first.
I found this answer on SO to be useful as well.
