Well, thank you very much for this great-looking toolstack for puppet! I'm new to puppet, so expect several bug reports for many of your modules during the coming weeks ... ;-)

As for this issue, it's not fully resolved. The syntax error is gone, but now the file /etc/apt/preferences.d/pin-puppet-common does not contain anything useful. Instead, there's the path to the template there:

$ cat /etc/apt/preferences.d/pin-puppet-common 
apt/pin-release.erb

[alvagante]

Ok, just fixed.
I hope you won't see as many bugs in the other Example42 modules :-)
The apt one has just been published, converted from an older one, and (that's my fault) I didn't check it properly before publishing on github.
Keep on hunting for bugs :-)
