I have found a workaround (kind of). Try first solution here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/23487586/removefromsuperview-is-not-working-if-it-is-called-from-another-class

In short, you have to add an observer to UIViewController+ENPopUp.m (put the removeFromSuperview stuff there, I'm still testing) and then trigger the notification within the button action. It should work now.

You need to call [self dismissPopUpViewController] on the parent view controller, not on the popup view controller.
