Even worse, there's no workaround as parentheses don't get added so
a * (b + c) will always get compiled to a * b + c

There is a long list of Cassandra supported functions to be implemented

x IN ? (without parentheses around the question mark) should work with a single placeholder of type list or set
if the number of arguments is fixed (tuples) then we could have a different implementation with x IN (?, ?, ...) and a fixed number of placeholders

Select
  .from(all_types)
  .take(_("_int") + :?)
  .compile
  .one(3)

when run, this throws a datastax QueryValidationException

at the moment the DSL doesn't respect AND precedence over OR

example:

a or b and  c

will compile down to (a OR b) AND c

this represents a major difference with CQL.

the current workaround is:

a or (b and c)

which will compile down to a OR (b AND c)
