I was still having this issue. :( I am running Version 2.0.2-Quickfix of your mod. On my forge version 4.7.4.520 Minecraft 1.4.7 server. I am running a Minecraft 1.4.7 Client with Forge 6.6.0.497.

I have downloaded your mod and placed it in the mod folder for both the client and the server but whenever I create a couple of portals (to test it) with the 3 modifiers and set the frequencies to match I just get a message saying "portal exit invalid" even if I build it in a flat area near no walls.

I'm not sure if I'm doing anything wrong but if you could help me figure it out I'd love to use your mod :)

Make sure that the coloured side of the Portal Modifier is facing into the portal, this is the side that you will appear at and if there's no portal block touching it, it will say that it's invalid.

Thanks, I tried moving the portal modifier to the side of the portal instead of the bottom and that seemed to help a bit.

I had been placing it on the bottom and using the "multiple portal" upgrade so that all sides of the modifier were coloured because I couldn't seem to get the coloured side facing up (from the bottom).

Now that I have moved it to the side (and ensured the coloured side is facing inwards toward the portal) it seems to work sometimes but I still get the message "the exit portal is blocked or invalid" (even in a flat area) a lot of the time. I've noticed that if I walk through the side close to the modifier or stop right on the edge of the portal it works but if I just try to run through the center it usually does not. I've also noticed that when it does work it will usually turn my character so he will be looking at the border of the portal he comes through instead of running out of the portal.

Is there any other info I can get you to help figure this out? I'm new to this as well but want to help with your mod in any way I can :) I'm also trying to learn more about programming languages (including java) but don't know much yet. That being said I will help however I can :)

I'm not entirely sure what is causing that, although the mod is going through a complete rewrite now so I hope it gets fixed in the next release. If not then I'll reopen this and investigate it further.
