Yes, it is possible, but it is not available now.

To meet your requirement,

• "text-inserted" event hook (signal text-inserted)
• Lua API function to get terminal text (vte_terminal_get_text_range())

are needed to be implemented.

I will implement them when I have time. If you can do it and make PR, it is also welcome.

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately I'm a user and not a developer (especially not at such deep level). I would love to help with debugging or other peripheral tasks for the project but I don't think I can contribute such type of code :-(
