As mentioned in the Troubleshooting section, usually when using Vite Ruby the entrypoints are JS files and stylesheets instead of an index.html file, so it's necessary to add the preamble manually when using @vitejs/plugin-react.
To make the integration simpler, Vite Ruby provides a vite_react_refresh_tag to inject the preamble, which you should place in your layout.
