Download Button for Offline/Zip export does not work about static-html-output

For me this was caused by accessing the site from HTTPS instead of HTTP (or possibly the reverse, can't remember.) Try switching.

I tested it with two hosted Wordpress instances, both enforcing https - so it seems to be that WP2Static has an issue with HTTPS.
Before I set up a local wordpress instance to test this, I want to ask your answer was a proposal to narrow down the issue or a solution with no further plan to fix this?

I'm not the developer, I just noticed you had a similar problem to us. The current release version hasn't been fixed in over a year but does work once you deal with the issues.

We have been resorting to downloading the zip file using cpanel file manager.

Have you tried inspecting the button to grab the link. If you can pull it out and change to https manually as a test.

Yep the bundle is being generated on the server and linking directly to it lets me download it.
