But on the other hand, you SHOULD not be forced to login. You HAVE to permit users with permission rank "Nobody" to access this plugin. See the README

In some cases page_open in plugins.php forces a login if cancel_login=1 is not set.

That's unfortunately right. But adding cancel_login=1 to every link does not sound convincing, does it?
