I don't think we should implement a workaround for this. After all, the template doesn't comply to the specification, so it's not our issue. We may want to be compatible with the template, but how would we decide for which templates to implement workarounds and for which not? These templates and their workarounds may evolve into a sort of additional specification, but unlike DotAAS, it wouldn't be finite. The first version of the digital nameplate template already had issues, for which we didn't implement workarounds: admin-shell-io/submodel-templates#14

Imo as well, we should rather disclose those problems to the IDTA. I'll close this issue for now.
