After better searching github issues, I also found this related issue #42. Maybe -batch mode usages differ, or I badly understand its means. For me it is convenient to fail fast if any interactive prompt comes up...

Yep, that fixed the restoring stty: errors, but still behave like mentioned in #42:
The process remains in background, which is for me unusable (direct exit, always with code return 0). Is this new behavior really okay for you?
