It doesn't import anything, "query was empty" about magmi-git

I grepped for where it would be passing the engine param, and hard coded it in that file where error occurs. It got farther but still not working. It updates existing products, but doesn't add new ones. It looks like in plugins/inc/magmi_defaultattributehandler.php there is a condition for setting $sql variable if a product exists, but there's no "else"... it gives an error about undefined $sql if I view in my ajax debugging console in chrome.

Never got it working.

Downloaded "0.7" off sourceforge, worked right away.
