I'm researching the best way to handle this. I don't suspect it'll make it into CintrolPlane directly, at least not yet.

The best way I've found to automate it is to switch out the Time Machine prefs plist file. That seems messy though.

That's something you might want to do through for example a custom applescript. It's too user specific IMO.

Edit: if you didn't know, the open file action recognizes scpt (applescript) files and executes them accordingly

I have to side with @djbe on this one, this action is beyond the scope of ControlPlane because it would require ControlPlane to manage external resources. Just not something I'm interested in doing directly in ControlPlane. I'd be more interested in using ControlPlane to execute an external program that manages Time Machine for you.
