New to the Framework about harp

@abidmalik1967 ResourceManager is the result of running start-yarn.sh script. Did you run start-dfs.sh correctly? Also, please let me know if you are installing on local pc or cluster?

I am installing on local pc. Here what happened what I tried start-dfs.sh /home/amalik/HADOOP/home/amalik/HADOOP/hadoop-2.6.0/sbin/start-dfs.sh Starting namenodes on [localhost] amalik@localhost's password: localhost: Error: JAVA_HOME is not set and could not be found. amalik@localhost's password: localhost: Error: JAVA_HOME is not set and could not be found. Starting secondary namenodes [0.0.0.0] [email protected]'s password: 0.0.0.0: Error: JAVA_HOME is not set and could not be found I am not sure what is happening here.

That means you didn't set the environment variable correctly. Please refer the 3rd point in the documentation.
export JAVA_HOME=where Java locates

Also, you can check by printing variable. Use echo JAVA_HOME for checking the variable.

It seems that you have not yet set up the JAVA_HOME env var

I set it as : export JAVA_HOME=/usr/lib/jvm/java-1.8.0-openjdk-amd64 echo $JAVA_HOME /usr/lib/jvm/java-1.8.0-openjdk-amd64 That's why I am confused why it's giving me the error.
