Cannot install Drush in Drupal 11 about drush

I expect chi-teck/drupal-code-generator to get a release before Drupal 11 is released, thus avoiding the error.

Didn't try to reproduce, but looks like it might be an issue with minimum stability. You could try setting it to dev, or explicitly ask for Drush 13.x dev.

Also, Drupal 11 beta is available; it's possible that the alpha release isn't working with Drush any more.

Thanks @greg-1-anderson for a fast reply. Setting minimum-stability to dev allows installing with the standard ddev composer require drush/drush.

ddev composer require drush/drush:^13@dev gave the same error.

drupal/recommended-project:^11@alpha actually results in "drupal/core-recommended": "^11.0" in composer.json, so you get the latest version, which is 11.0.0-beta1. I should have added a note about it, sorry about that.

In your opinion, is it a Drupal issue then, which should be fixed in Drupal 11? Or is it just something the users themselves need to work around? I ask because Drupal 11 is only a few weeks away, so many will undoubtedly run into this problem, and hit a full stop.

For some reason, everything works well again, and Drush 13 can be installed in Drupal 11 without a hitch. Maybe because Drupal Code Generator 4.0.0-RC1 was released?
