Thanks to this Medium article:

npm run build
git subtree push --prefix dist origin gh-pages

This will push just the dist folder to the gh-pages branch and it will be automatically deployed to GitHub pages. It might be necessary to delete the gh-pages branch manually first.

VSCode + Volar (and disable Vetur).

TypeScript cannot handle type information for .vue imports by default, so we replace the tsc CLI with vue-tsc for type checking. In editors, we need Volar to make the TypeScript language service aware of .vue types.
