Error upscaling check log file about qualityscaler

Hi, did you follow the README and installed all necessary software?
What are your pc specs? :)

Howdy,

PC Specs:
Windows 10
Processor: 11th Gen i9-11900H
Ram: 32 GB
Video Card: 3080 16Gb Mobile

I extracted the Visual-C-Runtimes.11.2022.zip and ran the install_all.bat file with no errors.
I then ran the directx_Jun2010_redist.exe and extracted to a folder, in that folder I ran the DXSETUP.exe.
I then restarted my computer.
I hope that is what is needed for the setup.

When running the app I was using a 1920x1080 video.
QualityScaler settings:
AI Model :BSRGANx4 (though i tried all and didn't make a difference)
Resize before upscaling: 70%
AI backend: GPU
GPU VRAM + PC Ram: 16gb and 8 GB (though none of the other settings worked)
The same error persists with both images and videos.

Yes, you did the setup perfectly. This must be a problem with Pytorch-directml library with newer gpus, i hope the will fix this error in next release. I'm sorry I can't help you :(

Ah, last thing that you can try is to set GPU preference for QualityScaler in GPU Windows option.
Your pc has 2 gpus, one dedicated (the 3080) and one with cpu (Intel® UHD Graphics ), you can try to select only 3080 :)

When I look at the AI Backend. I only have 2 options "GPU and CPU" .

I just tried with CPU setting here and resulted in the same error message as the original post.

If there is any other information I can provide to help debug I am happy to assist. I have been able to use the software on my other computer with a 2070 Super, and the results are excellent. However its much slower on that computer and would rather run it on my 3080.

Hi @ChrisVRMF I was referring to the windows gpu options, if you go into the windows settings and search for "gpu" there is a panel to select, for a specific application, which gpu to use if you have more than one :)

In your system with 2070, do you also have 2 gpus? :)
