Apphook on "home" page does not work about django-cms

I still can't attach a apphook on the homepage to server http://example.com/externalapp I've to create a page with externalapp as url and attach the app hook here.

As far as I can tell, this issue is all but fixed (using 2.2). A workaround can be found here:
