Unable to create app about heroku-template

This might be seen as a duplicate of #2, but they are different. I'm asking here for the button to use default that allow for the intended one-click experience of a Deploy to Heroku button (even if that makes for a limited production app). I'm also finding that #2 affects me, but I feel like it's a different issue, given the workaround posted.
