Actually you don't need that because the way the client is configured you can swap out the real deal with your own running HTTP server. You can take a look at their example tests. You can do the same if you have a library building on this, by wrapping their client into your own and than creating a test client by injecting their client.

Yeah, it's also possible to use a mocking library for most of the work, this is really old stuff.
