tmutil addexclusion error on older macOS (10.14.6) about nix-installer

The installer uses sudo so in theory it should work fine for that verison of Mac...

According to https://endoflife.date/macos Mojave was end of life over a year ago. Support for this OS is not really a priority, but it's something it'd be really nice to fix for folks. It might be good to write some heuristics that help us decide the active MacOS version.

I agree that it's fair to call it out-of-scope if it's actually a version issue. I've asked on Matrix to see if anyone else has older versions they can report from.

Got this report on Matrix from someone with Sierra (oldest macos the official installer currently supports) in a VM:

I confirmed that the command does also succeed on my Mojave system when I use sudo.
