Adam Bucknell's Projects

I created this project in one of my classes Spring 2016. I decided to make a dynamic website using the C programming language. With permission I used a friend's Hibernate/JAX-RS API, and edited it to be compatible with the database for this project. The website is a basic login detail that uses an HTTP GET request to confirm that the user is logged in, and when they are, it would display the most recent temperature values that were in the database. The same friend wrote the temperature sensor program using an Arduino, that pushed the data to the database. The entire project was run on my personal server that I built January 2016. Also the CSS this uses is what I use for my website.

This is the very first Android app that I created, back in January 2015. I created all of the images used in Photoshop, as well as all of the coding. Although it's not uploaded, before making an Android version I created it in Java Swing, though it didn't use any fancy images like this one did. I never distributed to the Google Play Store, mainly because I didn't know how at the time, and because I based it off of another free app that I found there. I haven't made any additions to the app since then, and probably won't because I switched to iPhone. Feel free to download it, add to it, or use it as you please. I created it just so I could learn Android Studio.

There's a board game of an Italian Renaissance Simulation that one of my old high school teachers created, and a friend of mine made a copy of it. This application is to keep track of turn information, such as calculate the income you'd receive at the start of a turn. The game is basically a more complicated version of risk, and normally one has to write everything on a worksheet. This application is meant to replace the worksheet, and speed up some of the most time consuming portions of the game. This is the android implementation of the app.

unity_card_game_deck_editor icon unity_card_game_deck_editor

This is a project I made in January 2016. It was the first program I'd written utilizing databases, where this project uses SQLite. I also made it to refresh myself with Unity, as I initially used it when I wasn't necessarily confident in my programing skills. With this project, you can add, remove cards to the deck, and search for cards by name, ability and type. The features that currently aren't implemented are saving decks and loading decks, but they will be available in the future. I also plan on rewriting some of the code, as I'm currently not happy with some of my implementation. I plan to use this for a game I wish to create in the future.
