The actual library itself doesn't have any dependencies, and that's what matters. GitHub's 'Download' buttons just dump the entire repo in a zip file/tarball. If I were the author I'd link to the JS file itself as opposed to a zip/tarball - much cleaner since nobody really needs the HTML file, README or anything else.
