Sorry for the long delay in replying to this issue. I've made a number of changes to how the Flash element is initialised in TableTools - previously it was leaking memory, which I suspect is what you will have been hitting.
I'm going to close this issue, as I believe it to be addressed (certainly I can use TableTools in IE no problem now) but if you do see it again with the latest versions, please reopen with a link to a test case showing the issue.

Hi,
Do you know what release this fix first appeared in. We're stuck on jquery 1.3, so I'm hoping that the TableTools version is an earlyish release that's compatible with jquery 1.3?
At the moment we're on DataTables v 1.8.2, I'm hoping that the TableTools version with the fix is compatible with this.
thanks for your help.

TableTools 2.0.1 I think. The bug was in 2.0.0 and it was fairly horrible. I'd really suggest that you don't want to use 2.0.0 unless you want to kill your user's computers :-)
Can you link me to a test case with your DataTables 1.8.2 and the current TableTools (or are you using an old version of TableTools as well?) so I can see what is happening.

Sorry for not responding further, I haven't been on that part of the project for a while.
We're using an old version of table tools as well, but good news I found a good combination to avoid the problem, so looks like it was all fixed nicely (thanks!).
I'll try to post again tomorrow when I've got access to the code and I'll drop a comment here tomorrow with the version numbers I'm using together successfully.
