I know this is a late reply, my apologies, thank you for your patience.
I'm putting together a bug fix update right now for the pack: I checked out the ore generation and you are correct. The Overworld dimension does not have Aluminum. Having said that, The Beneath Dimension does. It should have Dense Aluminum ore spawning regularly:
