I think it might be the use of an old example. The response is not AnyObject?
but HTTPResponse. I changed this as there needed to be a way to access header values and a response object makes the most sense to me. I believe changing it to this should fix it. Let me know if you have any questions.
@IBAction func whenSigninIsTapped(sender : AnyObject) {
var request = HTTPTask()
request.requestSerializer = JSONRequestSerializer()
request.responseSerializer = JSONResponseSerializer()
request.POST("http://localhost:3000/api/v1/login", parameters:["email":"[email protected]","password":"password"],
success: {(response: HTTPResponse) -> Void in
let resp = response.responseObject as Dictionary<String,AnyObject>
},failure: {(error: NSError) -> Void in
})
}

Hi @daltoniam, Thx!.. I changed to HTTPResponse but still getting the same build error on HTTPTask#run
var extraResponse = HTTPResponse()
if let hresponse = response as? NSHTTPURLResponse {
extraResponse.headers = hresponse.allHeaderFields as Dictionary<String,String>
extraResponse.mimeType = hresponse.MIMEType
extraResponse.suggestedFilename = hresponse.suggestedFilename
}
on line
extraResponse.headers = hresponse.allHeaderFields as Dictionary<String,String>

hmmm, I was able to build the code with your example code when I tested it out. What version of the xCode beta are you running? I am running beta2 or Version 6.0 (6A216f)

Im still running the 1st beta version... maybe I should upgrade then.
