Yes, you can.

I have refined class/method structure to make it easier to use tuple generator classes directly in 0.5.4. (since you are not the only/first person to try it)
Example is found here.

About the second question "will that work without JUnit present?". Yes it should. I have designed the class structure of tuple generation layer independent of JUnit itself. Even JUnit is not found on your classpath, the code fragment in the example should still work.

(on compilation time, you need junit just in case.)
