Ok - catching the error now (locally) - need a system to pass errors to the front end.

Confirmed the error is caught but not dealt with. We need to implement validation on the form using Javascript. There should be tons of examples. Let's make sure we are using Jquery since it is an established standard (vs. scriptaculous or other flavors of js).

Yea, I think I took all those references out - if not -I'll do that next time.
