This feature is a "small solution with a big impact". AppHash error testing has been something that we've found extremely difficult and opaque in the last four years of Cosmos SDK development. The lack of good CLI tooling around apphash debugging has led to lost time and erroneous blame on the exact cause. We used this feature. Within less than a few minutes, we were able to match hashes, between validators, and see which store was producing the offending hash. Once we matched, we were able to go back into the code and locate the problem module.

Any validator can run this query. No state change needed. Faster debugging means more Cosmos chains can do rapid development and maintain determinism.
