Maybe another strategy is to remove the temp files or directories after use?

Yes, that is the strategy I am looking at - my test should clean up after themselves.

I think a contributing cause is that Test2::V0 has no built-in way to not call srand() with the current date on initialization. This means that all tempfiles are created with the same random seed :-/

I've released a new version which is far more defensive with the tempfiles, we'll see what the testers report.

Thank you!

The tests fail, but for different reasons. Tomorrow should show all-green, and hopefully the tests also pass in your large /tmp.

The approach of being more defensive about tempfiles, using my own tempfile prefix and preventing Test2::V0 from calling srand() seems to have worked, as the tests now pass on your machine too ( http://www.cpantesters.org/cpan/report/65c980ba-72a6-11ee-b83c-b5de2587ad74 ).

So I'll close this ticket, thank you very much for pointing out the problem!
