Following the descriptions example of #45 would make this pretty easy to implement. @whoburg, thoughts on whether this is very-very low priority or very-very-very low?

Definitely lower priority than #53 (unit tests failing is always highest priority).

That said, I think this becomes much more important once we have separable models a la #43, because it allows those models to use whatever units system they like (e.g. imperial vs metric).
