About Me

I am very interested in computer science, programming, Linux, and Windows. I first got interested in programming from playing some puzzle games created by Zachtronics. I decided to teach myself Python early into 2020 and then began my journey into App Academy in mid 2021 where I learned fullstack JavaScript.

Coding Languages

JavaScript/TypeScript (Full Stack)

I learned Javascript online through the App Academy Coding Bootcamp. I created solo and group full stack js projects with deadlines and standups for each. For one year, I employed JS/TS as my primary language while working at ClaraPrice, and I utilized Bitbucket for version control instead of Github.

Python

I fully started learning Python in March 2020. It has been my major focus and is used in the majority of my public and private projects.

Rust

I am currently learning Rust and have learned useful ways to speed up Python with it using Maturin to run Rust code.

AHK

I started learning AHK for personal use around 2015. I began learning AHK for speeding up common tasks that were often completed in a fraction of the time thanks to AHK.

weather-wallpaper-changer

This is a script that runs in the background setting wallpapers based on the time of day and weather forecast every 20 minutes. It uses Open Weather to check the sunset and sun rise times and weather. I convert the sunset and sunrise times using code to determine if it is currently sunset or sunrise, 20 minutes each, or if it is night or day.
