here is a sample embeddedRecords config:

Considering this Artwork class with the following relations:

class Artwork extends DataObject
{
    private static $db = array();

    private static $has_many = array(
        'Visuals' => 'Visual'
    );

    private static $belongs_many_many = array(
        'Authors' => 'Author'
    );
}

Embedding both relations would involve this YML config:

Artwork:
