This issue is not fully ready to be implemented. The sources for the [LINK]s are not there yet.

This issue is being temporarily handled via direct add to [email protected] discussion forum, which includes a welcome letter. It is not the same call to action, however.

It would also be useful for an email notification to be sent to local brigade organizers. This way, we can add them to our lists and get in touch with them.

@GovInTrenches - connecting new members with a local Brigade is the first service we provide as concierges. I can see implementation of your idea at some point in the future. Right now we are only asking for name & email at registration. We find out where people are when they reply to our welcome letter. Once we know where a new member lives we link to/CC to the local forum.
