MeshLab 2016.12 crashes immediately after loading files on OSX about meshlab

Same issue with el capitan 10.11.6, But I can open one model by right-clicking on the model and choosing "open with meshlab",but it cost a very long time to load model. After success loading any operation will lead to a app crash.
I tested it with lots different model files and different formats ,obj,ply,stl etc.

I have tried the provided file (soyler_crunch_flat) on various mac's and there are apparent issues.

Figured out that version MeshLab_64bit v1.3.3 ( Apr 1 2014 ) works fine on el capitan 10.11.6.

I also encountered this issue (immediate crashing in Qt widgets on opening any file on El Capitan). Meshlab worked exactly once after installation importing an STL file, then subsequently crashed every other time. Just reporting the issue ... I will try to work around it. My crash trace is almost identical to the one above. The version I downloaded is 23/12/2016. Reinstallation does not fix the problem. The hosage is sticky. Rebooting did not work. Closing all other apps that use Qt did not work. brew upgrade qt (to 5.9.1) did not work. @shougan would you be so kind as to provide a link to the working version that you found?

Same problem here with Mac OS 10.13.2 Cannot get it to open any of the sample files without crashing.

Same 10.14.2, able to open with right click on the file (otherwise crash), but still crashes when applying filters (EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGSEGV)).

Same on 10.14.4 (and also experienced the past coupla OS versions). right-click open of an OBJ works, but launching meshlab and importing the OBJ briefly renders it then segfaults.

(noone else at my office has this problem, and we're supposedly all running the same setup. somethin must be different though...)

Also under MacOS 10.14.6, MeshLab 2016.12 crashes when opening any kind of (valid) model. v1.3.3 still works. If it works elsewhere, then it is probably a dependency issue. But which? Would love to know.
