undefined symbol: dgeev_ about riemann

I don't quite understand the error. Importing pyclaw or petclaw should not try to import the Riemann kernels. Are you saying that you see this problem only if you've imported petclaw, and not, if you've imported standard pyclaw?

It would be good to check that your numpy is correctly interfacing with the LAPACK symbols, can you do this simple test?

I have seen this happen when numpy does not create the right bindings to LAPACK so it will be interesting to see what Aron's example does. The alternative to relying on numpy is to provide the routine in our source although this solution would be far from optimal.
