Earlier I enabled trust for only local.

Now I enabled trust for host and the db connection happens.

/var/lib/pgsql/data/pg_hba.conf snippet:

TYPE DATABASE USER CIDR-ADDRESS METHOD

"local" is for Unix domain socket connections only

local all all ident

local all all trust

IPv4 local connections:

host all all 127.0.0.1/32 ident

host all all 127.0.0.1/32 trust

IPv6 local connections:

host all all ::1/128 ident

I am closing this, since I will not use Fedora 15 and right now testing on Ubuntu 10.04. Next I will try it on CentOS/Scientific Linux v6.2.
