I actually have an old PowerPC Mac. I'll try to get it running and see if I can identify the problem and fix it.

I don't get any problems on my Mac, but I'm running 2.4 so that might be why.

I since upgraded my Mac to 2.6 and there are no problems there either.
Without more information it's difficult for me to investigate this, so I'm closing the bug.
