This was corrected a version or two ago and no further comments have been added so I believe this could now be closed.

Well, actually not, on the v0.1.7-alpha, it still starts out on the entire country... Not sure what the problem is. Or if its only me, so lets keep this open until I can test with new API.

I just installed v0.1.8-alpha on a 4.2.2 stock device. Map opens centered outside the coast of Togo!! :D

Probably is the 0 North, 0 East. Should be nearby

@jofrep Yep, that make sense. After all, I did select, not to use Google location awareness when that question came up. Selecting yes, indeed show the right country, but still too much zoomed out.

I can increase the zoom further if you like, for the starting location it will use the last tracked location of one exists then fall back and attempt to use the last known location from either the GPS or Network provider. That is based on the fact GPS is not enabled.

Can you get me a logcat after downloading the OpenCellID data please because it functions correctly for me so that will help me to correct the issue.

I'm a little busy right now, but I will have a look at it asap. Perhaps we can get and install, by default, a preliminary list, with a few Network codes, for each country? So that if you're on those, at least the map region will be correct (for most people). Just an idea.

@E3V3A Yes that is awesome I was trying to think of a way to have some sort of default location fallback I think linking it to network codes would work beautifully and provide a good system. Do you know of any available listing that could help with this, I will have a dig maybe OpenCellID has something that can help I will have a bit of a search.
